Competitive pay and benefits! About the Role Operate assigned precision CNC machinery. Have knowledge and flexibility to operate different types of machines as necessary. Set up the machines as directed by the blueprint. Review screen pages and machine operation to detect minor programming issues. Consistently meet output expectations and efficiency requirements. Work with supervisor to recommend process improvements to resolve manufacturing issues or to help improve cycle time. Receive process traveler and verify revisions match on all paperwork. Receive material and load bar feeder or fixture, as necessary. Checks parts for accuracy according to inspection plan and part specifications. Verify the correct program is running on the machine and revision matches traveler. Red tag units that are out of specification (OOS) and submit to the Quality Department or Department Manager for review. Observe line clearance procedures. Ensure work area, machine, tooling, and parts are cleaned regularly and free from excess oil. Maintain quality and acceptable production outputs. Perform daily and routine preventive maintenance on assigned machine based on established standards. Offset the machine to the blueprint for part conformance as needed. Replace tooling at the machine when required. Attend all assigned meetings Follow all company policies and procedures. All other duties as assigned Job Qualifications Three to Five years of machinist experience required, preferably within a medical device company. Exposure to ISO 13485 and FDA 21 CFR 820 as it relates to the job. Time management, prioritization and organization skills. Knowledge of testing equipment, statistical methods and control plans. Organizational and problem-solving skills. High School or equivalent. English communication skills a must. General knowledge of precision measuring instruments. The instruments should include, but not limited to calipers, ID / OD micrometers, depth gauges, indicators and plug and tread Go/No Go gauges. Ability to read Blueprints. Required knowledge of basic math skills to include but not limited to adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, and algebra. Skilled in adapting to a changing work environment, competing demands and ability to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events. Skilled in setting priorities that move projects through efficiently - achieving customer and quality objectives.
